The Certificate of Achievement in Emergency Medical Technologies is designed to provide students an entrance to the profession of emergency medical services.
Career Opportunities
Jobs include EMT's on an ambulance, emergency room technicians, observers on a police helicopter, athletic trainers, EMT's at skilled nursing facilities, patient transporters at hospitals, lifeguards, and ski patrol officers, among others.
Program Learning Outcome(s)
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Function at the California State certified level of EMT.
- BePrepared to become a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT).
