This certificate program provides a comprehensive understanding of the skills necessary to care for infants and toddlers. When combined with the Associate Teacher Skills Certificate, and the completion of the following courses with grades of “C” or better, a student will qualify for an Early Childhood Education Infant Toddler Skills Certificate and exceed the minimum requirements to be a teacher of infants and toddlers in privately funded early childhood education programs (as required by Title 22 of the California Social Services Code of Regulations). Additionally, students with this certificate qualify as an associate teacher of infants and toddlers in publicly funded early childhood education programs (as required by Title 5 California Code of Regulations). A certificate is designed to provide career technical skills; it is not equivalent to an associate degree.
