Overview
The Production Welder Certificate of Achievement is for students that want to rapidly gain the skills needed to pursue entry level production employment. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings combined with OSHA safety knowledge provide the foundation. Welding theory is combined with two lab skills classes in welding process that are selected by the student.
Career Opportunities
Many opportunities in welding, manufacturing and assembly. Employers report having a tough time finding entry level workers with the requisite skills and knowledge.
Program Learning Outcome(s)
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Have the skills necessary to pass an American Welding society standard welding certification test.
- Operate safely in a welding workplace environment.
