Overview

The Career Certificate in Emergency Medical Responder is designed to prepare the student for a job such as firefighter, lifeguard and police officer.

Program Learning Outcome(s)

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

1. Be competent and prepared for employment as a lifeguard, police officer, and/or search and rescue squad member.
2. Be competent as an entry-level emergency medical responder in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains with exit points at the emergency medical responder levels and certified to provide basic life support cpr.
3. Be prepared to become an emergency medical responder (emr) through registration with the national registry of emt's.
