      "markdown": "**Minimum Units Required:** 24.0 units\n\nPre-employment training in professional photography is designed to prepare students for self-employment and employment in the private and public sectors and covers a broad spectrum of photographic fields, e.g., advertising illustration, industrial, portraiture, medical, commercial, photojournalism, and landscape. The Associate in Arts Degree can be obtained by completing the 24-unit major, general education requirements and electives. All courses for this major must be completed with a minimum grade of C or a P if the course is taken on a Pass/No Pass basis\n\n### Program Learning Outcomes\n\n-   Integrate conceptual elements with aesthetic and technical skills to create cohesive and memorable photographs.\n\n-   Demonstrate full knowledge of the technical aspects of photography, including camera operations, exposure, lighting, and post-production, including software applications and printing.\n\n-   Demonstrate an understanding of industry trends and professional practices related to a career in photography.\n\n-   Conceive and produce a coherent portfolio of original work that meets department and professional industry standards.\n\n-   Demonstrate an understanding of, and sensitivity towards, historical and contemporary issues of equity, race and representation in the photo industry.\n\n### Program Requirements"
