"markdown": "**Minimum Units Required:** 60.0 units\n\nThe Data Science program is primarily designed to prepare students to transfer to a data science B.S. degree at a four-year university. The prerequisite skills for entering our data science program are limited to high-school level algebra and trigonometry; there are no other specific requirements. The Associate in Science in Data Science can be obtained by completing the 35 unit major and general education. All courses for the major must be completed with a minimum grade of C or P if taken on a Pass/No Pass basis.\n\n### Program Learning Outcomes\n\n- PLO 1: Upon completion of the A.S. in Data Science, the student should be able to effectively use modern programming languages, such as Python and R, to visualize and model large varieties and volumes of data.\n\n- PLO 2: Upon completion of the A.S. in Data Science, the student should be able to carry out analyses of large and disparate datasets, and construct models necessary for these analyses.\n\n- PLO 3: Upon completion of the A.S. in Data Science, the student should possess a solid theoretical understanding of classical statistical models and data science techniques.\n\n### Program Requirements"
