      "markdown": "The Welder's Assistant Certificate of Achievement prepares the student for entry-level work in a welding operation as a welder's assistant. Required courses are applicable toward the Welding AS degree, Welding Technician Basic, and Welding Technology certificates.\n\n##### Program Learning Outcomes\n\n1.  Identify hazards and apply safety procedures for SMAW, GMAW, OFC, and PAC equipment.\n2.  Demonstrate intermediate welding techniques in SMAW and GMAW (1G–2G, fillet and groove welds).\n3.  Accurately interpret and apply blueprints and welding symbols to fabrication projects."
