      "markdown": "#### Description\n\nLearn or review foundational arithmetic and quantitative skills in preparation for algebra. This certificate is free and students may repeat the courses until mastery of the skills is met. The program provides a great opportunity for students who are transitioning to college, who are unsure of their abilities, or who have been out of school for while and want some more mathematics preparation before transitioning to college-level math. Enroll for a single session or complete all four sessions to earn a certificate of competency. Session A covers computation and modeling with whole numbers, Session B covers computation and modeling with signed numbers, Session C covers computation and modeling with fractions and linear equations, while the capstone Session D applies these skills to problem solving, word problems and graphing in Cartesian coordinates.\n\n#### Program Learning Outcomes\n\nUpon the successful completion of this program, students should be able to:\n\n1.  Analyze mathematical problems critically using logical methodology.\n2.  Communicate mathematical ideas, understand definitions, and interpret concepts.\n3.
